The Miami Heat are going to the NBA Finals for the first time in six years after closing their Eastern Conference Finals series out with a 125-113 win over the Boston Celtics on Sunday night.

The Celtics managed to pull the series to within a single contest of a Game 7 after going down 3-1, hitting the Heat with a remarkable third quarter to go 3-2 on Friday night. But Bam Adebayo put the Heat on his back after taking responsibility for Friday’s loss with a career-high performance.

The forward scored 32 points, along with 14 rebounds and five assists on the night as he played 39 minutes despite the ill effects of his injured wrist.

The Heat will begin their NBA Finals journey against the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night.
