Yesterday, the New York Knicks had their first training in the last six months as a team under Tom Thibodeau. A special day for New York and for Thibodeau who, however, has worked with a team that will be completely different from the one that will play next season, considering that the draft and free agency still have to take place.
But Thibodeau thinks about the present without any distraction as reported by ESPN: “For us, the focus has to be on the guys who are here. And that’s what we’re doing. Every day we think about how we can improve as a team and how we can improve individually, and we want it to be our goal. We want to start with the fundamentals, stay together and lay a foundation for next season.”
