Former NBA player Metta Sandiford-Artest (previously Metta World Peace and Ron Artest) tweeted a message of respect to the Dallas Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle.

The two worked together through 2003-2006 at the Indiana Pacers. In that period, Sandiford-Artest achieved individual success: he was an NBA All-Star, was named to the All-NBA Third Team and NBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2004 and was named twice to the NBA All-Defensive First Team in 2004 and 2006.

“Just listen to this guy and you will have a killer career. I remember hate all the play calling. But I was most successful under this guy. My mind was totally not in it though. Under Coach , I was third team all nba, dpoy, number 1 team in the league and an all star,” he tweeted with a picture of himself and Carlisle from their days in Indiana.
