LeBron James speaks with the media following the Los Angeles Lakers’ 119-96 victory over the small-ball Houston Rockets in Game 5 of their Western Conference semifinal series on Saturday night at Walt Disney World. The victory sends the Lakers to the Western Conference finals for the first time since 2010:

“It’s the reason I wanted to be a part of this franchise, to take them back to a place that they were accustomed to being – and that’s competing for a championship,” James said, via ESPN. “It’s an honor for me to wear the purple and gold, and for us, we just try to continue the legacy.”

LeBron, who joined Oscar Robertson as the only players in the history of the NBA playoffs to record 250+ PTS, 100+ REB and 80+ AST in the first ten games of a single playoffs, finished the game with 29 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, two steals and a block.

The Lakers will face either the Los Angeles Clippers or Denver Nuggets. The Clippers now own a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series. Game 6 is on Sunday:
