Well, Well!!

1) Why do we care so much about Angelopoulos' expenditures? It's THEIR money for god's sake!! I think we should focus on the quality of the players mainly and not on the money they receive !

2) I said 2 positions for 7 quality players. OK! i'ts 3 for 8 players ! I forgot Perperoglou! And I ask again... WHO'S GONNA PLAY LESS THAN 15 min AND BE OK WITH THIS?

3) Oly is not giving 5 M per year for Parker! That was last year's offer which Olympiakos has no intension to make! It's probably an agent trick to gain a huge offer!
Can you tell me some wage for coaches in Euro league/cup? Especially some medium level teams, like Spahija in Pamesa, Pier L. Bucchi (Milano) …
Aris' Mazzon was being paid 140k euros this season.

But I guess Spanish teams like Valencia pay much better.

As for Calathes, as I said, he can bring $0.5 million and get out whenever he wishes to... If it was for me he would not even make the 12-men squad. I would use Diama and Tepic for 40 minutes and have Verginis on the bench.
I agree that Parker is not worth 5m and Olympiacos won't offer him that much either, after all Oly management promised a new policy regarding salaries.

But talking about the quality of signings, Olympiacos still has a 4.5m euros contract with the American Perperoglou aka Josh Childress.
Damm Parker is 34 years old already, he lost his explosiveness and relay much on his shooting (he became a great 3point shooter) he's not as he used to be in his years in Maccabi, I think Oly can find other players in less money that take the club one step further, but I would start with finding the right coach.

Childress makes 4.8 million euros actually.
That is what I m talking about. If you look at the Panathinaikos roster they only have Peperoglu on position 3, and he cant have more than 15-20 minutes.

Btw. I have one question for you guys:

Can you tell me some wage for coaches in Euro league/cup? Especially some medium level teams, like Spahija in Pamesa, Pier L. Bucchi (Milano) …
Messina 2 million a year

Obradovic 1.2 million a year

Giannakis 1.1 million a year

That's all I can remember.

Diamantidis is already breaking down physically as it is and Tepic isn't much different than Perperoglou. He's not that ready for a club the level of PAO at all.
Maccabi : Pini Gershon 1m$

Diamantidis underwent surgery last week and remains to be seen if he's finally over the problem with his abs. He sure had a tough season. I insist on saying it is too early to jump into conclusions

I'm not. I just meant that his body can't take playing that many games anymore. Years of playing year round. And no way could he play 40 minutes. I don't know if you noticed or not but at the Olympics in the game against Argentina Diamantidis and Spanoulis were the walking dead.

Those guys were so exhausted and spent completely. I am sure the same thing will happen by the time the elimination rounds in the Eurobasket start up. As Saras said they are humans and not machines.
Lakovic is on Yannakis' shortlist for the PG spot.

Somehow I am not surprised.........
Calathes can pack his things if he wishes, Saras is staying at PAO 99% <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

Would Yannaakis ever learns from his mistakes?

Lakovic instead Greer? <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ph34r.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Ph34r' /> <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Blink' /> <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wacko' />

To be fair though Greer can't play any defense and he is way undersized at shooting guard. He wasn't good enough for a club like Olympiacos.
Earl Calloway to Khimki. 1+1 contract.

It means that Palacio is out?
Don't know man. Scariolo wants his own players in the team.
Velickovic is 2+1 in Real.
