Hot summer in Serbia!

Both, Partizan and Red Star are interested in Hemofarms youngsters Stefan Markovic ( http://www.adriaticbasket.com/player.php?id=810 ) and giant Boban Marjanovic ( http://www.adriaticbasket.com/player.php?id=811 ). Payout for them is 250k and 350k, and that is allot for our teams, but they are great talents. Also, Hemofarm is trying to keep them in their roster , by signing new contract. Hemofarm is also interested in their former player Marshall. There is a little chance for Hemofarm to receive a wild card for qualifications for Euroleague, and they want to make a good team.

Partizan is also interested in bringing back Milos Vujanic and Milojevic, and signing new Montenegrin rising star Vladimi Dasic ( http://www.eurocupbasketball.com/ulebcup...ypecode=rs )

Red Star main concern is keeping Svetisalv Pesic as head coach, will know more about that next few days.
If partizan pulls these moves through, there will be another generation of youngsters to sell out to european powerhouses (lol). Yet they will probably remain at a high level for couple of years more

The article actually states he will go: "aunque acudirá al torneo auspiciado por el equipo que aún disputa la final de la NBA ante Los Angeles Lakers."

OK, your information is the correct one, as it cites the player. He still doesn't know. But ACB stated he'd go, that was my source. Everything clear now <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' />

Maccabi wants him, but only if it is official, they will try to land him in Nokia.
Oostende signed Serbian center Vladan Vukosavljevic. Interesting signing.

Quote:As it was officially made known today Oktay Mahmuti has rejected Benetton's renewal offer and will leave the club effective today.

Although there was a mutual wish to continue together, the Turkish coach rejected Benetton's offer due to the club's management to reduce the club's budget next season while they also did not reach a consensus regarding the financial terms of his contract.

Benetton is now expected to turn to the Greek, ex-Pamesa Valencia, coach Fotis Katsikaris to replace Mahmuti, as their previous target Rimas Kurtinaitis is probably staying with Lietuvos Rytas.

Quote:It didn't take a long time for Cibona's president Ivo Jelusic and the coach Velimir Perasovic to reach an agreement to extend his stay at the club for another season. Immediately after the deal was made public, both the president and the coach made statement to the press.

Ivo Jelusic: "When putting things together you always start with the most important things, in this case the head coach of the team. I hope to God that we wil have the same successful season next year too."

Velimir Perasovic: "It was up to me to make a competitive team last season, which would succeed in all the competitions we took part in. I believe I achieved this and with the support of my family and the club's genuine desire to keep me I will continue working for Cibona."

"We only have 3 players with a signed contract for next season. We are not in a position to pressure players to accept our offers, as we are a small European club and the economical crisis makes it even harder for us. The three foreigner spots are essential to us, but the most important players are the Croatian ones and their prices are high for the moment so we will wait.

We want to keep Kus, Prkacin and Anderson, but it is still very early to talk about this possibility. Nevertheless we feel that we are in a better position comparing to last summer because the players' salaries are dropping and we have a better team."
