The Miami Heat became the third Eastern Conference team to take a 2-0 lead in the first round of the playoffs with a 109-100 win over the Indiana Pacers on Thursday.

Duncan Robinson was near perfect from beyond the arc, putting his 2/8 field goal performance from Tuesday behind him as he helped the Heat surpass their record for most threes in a playoff game with 18. The sharpshooter scored 24 points, draining seven of his eight attempts from downtown, three of which he scored less than two minutes into the first quarter. That seventh three saw him tie the Heat’s playoff record for most threes made by a single player.

Jimmy Butler and Goran Dragic were the main contributors for the Heat on Tuesday but the former got off to a very slow start, struggling to finish at the rim. He ended the contest with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists while Dragic showed out again with 20 points and six assists.

Bam Adebayo, though, was held to just seven points but the Heat managed to make up the points with telling contributions from the likes of Tyler Herro, Jae Crowder, Andre Iguodala and Kelly Olynyk.

The Heat and Pacers will go head-to-head again on Saturday, when Erik Spoelstra’s squad will hope to go up 3-0 in the series.
