The NBA announced voting results for the bubble awards. Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers was voted the Kia NBA Player of the Seeding Games or, simply put, the MVP. Sports analyst Skip Bayless was shocked the award did not go to Devin Booker.

The Phoenix Suns guard received 19 second-place votes and 1 third-place vote and finished second, behind Lillard who had 22 first-place votes.

According to Bayless, Booker should have won and it wasn’t even close. “Can somebody please explain how Devin Booker wasn’t the Restart MVP??? Wasn’t even close,” he tweeted.

The 23-year-old shooting guard led Phoenix to an 8-0 record in Orlando, but it wasn’t enough to make the playoffs. Booker averaged 27.1 points per game and had four 35-point games.
