Udonis Haslem started for the Heat today against the Indiana Pacers. The big man is in his 17th season with Miami and has played in 44 games over the last four seasons.

It was Haslem’s fourth appearance in game this season and his first start.

Haslem made the most of his playing time and did a nice job for the Heat. He finished with seven points and eight rebounds in 24 minutes. He even hit the fifth 3-pointer of his career, but it was not enough, as Miami lost 109-92.

While Haslem no longer gets much playing time, he has been a mentor to many of Miami’s talented young players, including rookies Tyler Herro and Kendrick Nunn.

Haslem is a three-time NBA champion and that experience should help this young Heat team as they prepare to play the Pacers in the first round of the postseason.

If this was Haslem’s last game of his NBA career, he went out playing well.
