The San Antonio Spurs are in the race for the play-in tournament for the 8th seed, after their 122-113 win over the New Orleans Pelicans.

DeMar DeRozan scored 27 points, helping the Spurs hang on the fourth quarter with 15 points to beat the resurging Pelicans in the second half.

The San Antonio Spurs are bidding to become the first team in NBA history to make 23 consecutive playoff appearances. On the other hand, New Orleans’ chances to make the playoff are diminished, after their fourth loss in the last 6 games in Orlando.

Zion Williamson finished the contest with 25 points and 7 rebounds for the Pelicans, who will be out of the playoff contention if the Portland Trail Blazers win on tonight’s matchup against the 76ers.
