Marc Gasol is going to face his former team in the next Toronto Raptors matchup. Gasol was one of the main ingredients of the Memphis Grizzlies well-known culture of grinding out in every game.

The center form Spain played 11 seasons in Memphis and, in his latest interview, admitted that they will be many emotions during his possibly last game against his former team for this season.

“It’s a lot of emotions, and I’m very businesslike when it comes to playing, and I would not like all the attention before the game,” Gasol said on a videoconference Saturday, per TSN. “I like to just got there, play the game, win and then we can chit-chat.”

Gasol spent several years of his career, from high-school to NBA, in Memphis having many ties with the city.

“I got there when I was 16 years old and left as a father of two kids,” Gasol continued. “My youngest actually is from Memphis, he was born there, and my daughter’s best friends are from Memphis, so my ties to the city and my roots go really deep.”
