Jared Dudley has had a long NBA career and he is now a person to go to for mentorship. Dudley has seen a lot in his 12-year career so when he says watch out for a player it’s best to listen. Rui Hachimura is the new player that has Dudley’s eye.

Hachimura is averaging 13.5 points and 6.1 rebounds per game this season. Also, he shoots 48.0 percent from the field. He has a lot of potential. He has shown that he is able to score early in his career, he may be a double-double player and he is efficient. The future is bright for Hachimura.

Dudley said on Twitter:

“Out of all the NBA rookies the most slept on is Rui Hachimura… He’s really a 3 playing at the 4 position.. Has a lot of Kawhi in his game! Super skilled, tough, and aggressive! Wizards found themselves a young Star in the future.”

Dudley saw the prime of a similar player to Hachimura. Amar’e Stoudemire and Dudley were teammates from 2008-2010 and that was the best years of Stoudemire’s career. Stoudemire also averaged 13.5 points per game in his rookie year. As the Wizards start to center things around Hachimura his game will blossom.
