Houston Rockets veteran swingman Thabo Sefolosha is opting-out of the NBA restart in Orlando, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

The 36-year-old recently expressed his concerns about being in the “bubble” for an extended period of time and being away from family with the coronavirus still on the rise, on an episode of Brodie and the Beard, a podcast hosted by Kelly Iko of The Athletic.

Sefolosha referred to the amount of time in the “bubble” as a “huge commitment“.

The Rockets will now look for a substitute player.

He saw limited action in 41 games this season (10.6 minutes per game), averaging 2.2 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.

Sefolosha joins Davis Bertans, Trevor Ariza, Avery Bradley, Willie Cauley-Stein and Wilson Chandler as players to opt out of the season restart.
