Free agent guard Cameron Payne has agreed to a two-year deal with the Phoenix Suns, according to Shams Charania.

If Payne gets some playing time in Orlando, he could provide the Suns with backup point guard minutes behind Ricky Rubio.

In 15 G League games this season, Payne averaged 23.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 8.1 assists per game for the Texas Legends.

The 25-year-old last played in the NBA for the Chicago Bulls (31 games) and Cleveland Cavaliers (9 games) during the 2018-2019 season.

Payne also played two seasons for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
