The Houston Rockets have signed former Chicago Bulls and Brooklyn Nets small forward David Nwaba to a two-year deal, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

The 27-year-old began the season with the Nets and averaged 5.2 points, 2.3 rebounds, and .4 assists in the 20 games he played before rupturing his right Achilles tendon in December. He was waived by the team on January 3.

Charania reports the player won’t return to the court this season as a result of his injury but will earn upwards of $900K. Houston will have a team option on Nwaba for the 2020/21 season.
