The New York Knicks are pursuing several candidates to fill their head coaching position vacancy. According to Shams Charania, the New York franchise plans to interview Philadelphia 76ers assistant coach Ime Udoka.

Udoka is an up-and-coming coach in the NBA, with the Chicago Bulls having him also in their list to fill their vacant head coach job.

A former NBA role player, Udoka was served in the assistant coach role under Gregg Popovich in San Antonio from 2012.

He remained with the Spurs for 7 years (2012-2019), before going to the Sixers in order to replace Monty Williams, who was named head coach in Phoenix last summer.

Udoka is the latest name in the Knicks’ long list that consists of veteran NBA coaches like Tom Thibodeau, Kenny Atkinson and others.
