The NBA released a statement telling all 30 teams that one goal for restarting the season is to bring attention to social injustice.

“A central goal of our season restart will be to utilize the NBA’s platform to bring attention and sustained action to issues of social injustice, including combatting systemic racism, expanding educational and economic opportunities across the Black community, enacting meaningful police and criminal justice reform and promoting greater civic engagement,” the statement reads in part.

Avery Bradley and the players’ coalition are reportedly “eager” to hear the NBA’s owners’ and sponsors’ plans of action on issues of importance to the black community prior to Orlando.
