The 2019 EuroLeague champions used the contract option and parted ways with the experienced center. Kosta Koufos didn’t have the numbers CSKA was expecting from him and so his cooperation with the Russian team ended unexpectedly after less than a year.
Koufos made his Euroleague debut this year, signing with CSKA in July 2019 and after spending 11 years playing in the NBA for several teams.
