Kobe Bryant was allegedly poisoned by New Jersey mob during 2002 NBA Finals

During this last week’s final episodes of the 10 part docuseries, “The Last Dance” on ESPN, we learned exactly what happened during that Flu game where Michael Jordan went on to score 38 points. Some argued it was a hangover, but it was confirmed to be food poisoning after ordering from a local pizza in Utah.

This isn’t an isolated incident when it comes to poisoning NBA superstars. Kobe Bryant, who followed after Jordan in his footsteps, also reportedly got poisoned as well. It happened back in 2002 during the NBA Finals when Kobe and the Lakers swept the New Jersey Nets, per The Fumble:
