No one knows right now if and when the NBA season will resume. However, the Philadelphia 76ers are preparing for the playoffs, if the season returns.

In particular, general manager Elton Brand revealed to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer that the entire organization has prepared as if they will face the Boston Celtics.

“We are talking about the Celtics as if that could be an opponent,” Brand told Pompey. “Brett [Brown] and his staff have also prepared for other teams in case there is a regular season and the [seeds] change. But we’ve done a deep dive.”

The 76ers’ GM expressed his optimism for the return of the current NBA season, commending commissioner Adam Silver for his leadership and vision.
