Worcester Wolves end the week top of the BBL table after a 95-80 win at the struggling Manchester Giants.

Will Creekmore led the Wolves with 26 points, helped by Zaire Taylor’s 23 for the visitors. David Aliu led all scorers for Manchester with 35 points, as they remain third from bottom.

This was a hard pill to swallow for the Leicester Riders as they were top for under 24 hours following a 75-69 double overtime win over the Sheffield Sharks.

Both teams were deadlocked at 60-60 after regulation and after the first session of overtime ended level at 66-66, the Riders played like the true champions that they are and went up a gear, a three-pointer from Jay Couisnard proved to be a dagger as Sheffield was held to just three points in the second period of ovetime.

Rashad Hassan led the Riders with 22 points.

London Lions won their sixth straight game at home as they defeated the Glasgow Rocks 81-65.

Veteran guard Rod Brown led the Lions with 19 points, 6 assists and 6 rebounds as they turned it up in the fourth with a 10-3 run early in the final period, which proved a game-changer.

Player-coach Sterling Davis led the visiting Rocks with 17 points.

The team of the week accolade belongs to the Cheshire Phoenix as they picked up two big road wins over the weekend.

They first beat the winless Birmingham Knights 89-71 on Saturday then ended their weekend with an impressive 100-84 win at the Plymouth Raiders as the Phoenix are in the midst of a six-game winning streak.

Despite the loss to Cheshire, Plymouth did manage to get a win at of the weekend’s play as they defeated the Glasgow Rocks 95-83 at the Plymouth Pavilions.

Matthew Pressey had 21 to lead Plymouth and make it an 0-2 weekend for the Scottish side.

The Durham Wildcats secured their sixth win of the season but were made to work hard for their 79-69 win away at a spirited Surrey United side, who remain without a win.

Danny Huffor led the Wildcats with 25 points, with his scores coming mostly in transition as it was the fast break game of the visitors that wore the Guildford-based side down in the second half.

Brandan McGill led United with 20 points.
