EA7 Emporio Armani Milan further bolstered its backcourt by signing combo-guard Daniel Hackett, who was among the top performers in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Regular Season.

Hackett (1.99 meters, 26 years old) arrives from fellow Italian club Montepaschi Siena. He was third in the Euroleague this season with an average index rating of 19.4 per game. Hackett led the competition with 70 fouls drawn and his 5.8 assists per game were fourth best. He also tallied 13.3 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.

Hackett started his career with Scavolini Pesaro’s cadet team before moving to the Unites States for high school. He went on to play three seasons at the University of Southern California. Hackett’s first professional team was Benetton Treviso in the 2009-10 campaign and he later played two seasons for Pesaro before joining Siena in the summer of 2012.

With Siena, Hackett won the Italian League and Cup double last season; He was the MVP both of the Italian League Finals and the Italian Cup final. His father, Rudy Hackett, played professionally in the Italian League in the 1980s.
