Ben Simmons gets overlooked as a player because of the lack of shooting. Simmons is one of the best finishers inside the paint taking advantage of his size, quickness and athleticism.

On the other hand, the Sixers superstar knows that he needs to continue refining his shot in order to become even more of a threat in offense.

“I know it’s going to come,” Simmons says, per ESPN’s Jackie MacMullan. “It’s a matter of me being comfortable doing it. Some of that is getting the reps in. I can take a hook shot from the elbow, because I’ve done it so many times, I’m confident it will go in. It’s second nature.”

This season Simmons made the first two 3-pointers of his career, tallying six total attempts.

“I’ve got to make it a point of emphasis. I could be one of those guys shooting 30% right now. But I’d rather be one of those guys shooting 40%,” Simmons noted.

In any case, the young superstar will become one of the most complete players in the league if he eventually starts hitting shots from the perimeter.
