He is certainly one of the most impressive Euroleague players. Edy Tavares has upgraded his game playing for Real Madrid the last couple of years. As he said in his recent interview with dtudo1pouco, Tavares wants to return to the NBA.
“The future is the same, always waiting for an opportunity to return to the NBA, despite my five-year contract with Real Madrid. Here (at Real) I’m trying to do my best, because you have to be ambitious to make history and leave a mark wherever you go and not a player who just passed. The player has to be at the highest level every year to achieve the goals. NBA is always open, there are offers every year, but I’m focused here to help Real Madrid”.
As he admits, Madrid faces economic crisis because of the coronavirus outbreak.
“Madrid is in an economic crisis because there are no games, there is no ticket office and since there is no income for the club, they had to lower our salary by 20%.”
