Draymond Green, known for his candid commentary, has lauded Anthony Edwards, highlighting the Minnesota Timberwolves’ rising star’s qualities.

According to Green, Edwards possesses all the attributes of a superstar, emphasizing the player’s self-belief and versatile skill set.

In a recent episode of The Draymond Green Show, Green expressed admiration for Edwards’ confidence, athleticism, and scoring ability, noting that Edwards plays with the conviction of a top-tier player.

“Ant thinks he’s the best player in the world…,” Green said in response to Edwards saying that Nikola Jokic is the best player in the NBA.

“And if you don’t believe he 10% believes that he’s the best player in the world, all you gotta to do is watch him play. He’s playing like he believes he’s the number one best player in the world…,” Green said.

“Anthony Edwards actually has everything that you would want in a superstar. Number one, he believes he’s great. He’s boisterous enough to let you know that he believes that and ain’t going to shy away from it at all. He’s the furthest thing from soft, which a lot of stars you can bully. He’s fast as hell, he’s strong as hell. He can shoot the basketball, he can get to the hole, he can finish over anybody. He has a mid-range game, he has a floater. He can play defense.

“I’m not sure what it is that he don’t have that you would want in a superstar. Actually, I’m sure, it’s nothing.”

Green’s remarks come amid Edwards’ outstanding playoff performance, where he has been instrumental in the Timberwolves’ success.

With impressive averages of 32.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game in the playoffs, Edwards has emerged as a force to be reckoned with on the court.

His contributions were pivotal in the Timberwolves’ first-round sweep of the Phoenix Suns and their current 2-0 series lead against the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference semifinals.
