It’s not every day you see Mayors dissing players’ jump shots. But desperate times call for desperate measures, and Chicago’s boroughmaster has taken to trolling local ballplayers in an effort to get them to stay home amid the coronavirus crisis.
While certain cities have had to remove hoops in parks all over, it’s still impossible to police everyone looking to play some hoops outdoors. So why not just throw shade on Twitter?
That’s exactly what Mayor Lori Lightfoot did last week, posting a meme bearing her photo alongside a thinly-veiled insult.
Given the current circumstances, such trolling can’t be faulted. Anything to keep folks indoors, right?
