The Chicago Bulls have started the process of hiring a new top basketball executive a week ago with the initial round of meetings coming to an end, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Arturas Karnisovas has emerged “as the focus of the franchise’s process to hire a new executive VP of basketball operations” per Wojnarowski.

The Bulls will continue the talks with the general manager of the Denver Nuggets today, while they also completed an interview with former Atlanta Hawks GM Wes Wilcox.

Karnisovas has a great resume of successfull front office jobs during his career (Rockets, Nuggets), while he had also a decorated EuroLeague and Olympic-medal winning playing career.

Furthermore, the Lithuanian is expected to reshape the Bulls’ front office, if hired, including putting in place a new general manager, per Woj.
