Chicago’s Arturas Karnisovas made a number of big moves during yesterday’s trade deadline, making deals for Nikola Vucevic, Al-Farouq Aminu, Daniel Theis, Troy Brown Jr & Javonte Green. The new look Bulls are ready for a run at an Eastern Conference play-in spot, as they added a bunch of versatile guys on both ends. Karnisovas says he thought it was important to add this particular group of players to Chicago with the regular season finishing up in May.

“There’s going to be 29 games in a very short time, you need that group of players that can compete in every game. We’re going into April where we have 18 games, it’s a mental fatigue not just a physical fatigue. You’re going to have to show up every game, that’s what we’re looking for in the group, that’s what we expect. Like I said, development is important, but winning is important too.”
