Bulgaria and Estonia will meet over two legs in the final game to determine who will board the plane to the Ukraine in two years time for Eurobasket 2015.
Switzerland 67-87 Bulgaria (Bulgaria wins 179-138 on aggregate)
Bulgaria completed an emphatic two-legged win with an 87-67 win away to Switzerland in Fribourg.
It completes an easy 179-138 win over the two legs and with Bulgaria racing out to a 45-31 lead at half-time, with 11 players already on the scoresheet, the game was never in doubt.
“The big advantage we had was the experience, it helps us a lot,” Bulgaria coach Konstantin Papazov explained.
“The Swiss team is a team for the future. This game was really important for us and we took it very seriously even though we were 21 points in front.”
Kaloyan Ivanov led the victors with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Clint Capela had a game-high 19 points for the Swiss.
Estonia 79-61 Belarus (Estonia wins 149-137 on aggregate)
Estonia came back from a first leg deficit to record a 79-61 win over Belarus in Tallinn.
Trailing 76-70 from the first leg, Kristjan Kangur led Estonia from the front as he recorded a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds, and buoyed by a fanatic crowd of 6,000 at the Saku Suurhall Arena, Belarus crumbled when it mattered most.
“The home crowd, the fans helped us a lot. It is good to enter the next game with this emotion,” Kangur said afterwards.
Estonia coach Tiit Sokk said: “We started more aggressively, but they came back into the game. We are getting better as a team with each game.”
Aliaksandr Kurautsau led Belarus with a game-high 22 points.
