Tim Duncan was elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame today.

He was known for his fundamentals rather than flashy plays, earning the nickname “The Big Fundamental.”

After finding out he would be enshrined in the Hall of Fame, Duncan thanked his teammates and said he never felt as though he wasn’t appreciated.

Duncan played 19 seasons with the San Antonio Spurs. He won five titles and was named Finals MVP three times. He was also the regular season MVP twice.
