OTD, Russell Westbrook had a historic 20-20-20 game and dedicated it to Nipsey Hussle

On this day, Russell Westbrook came up with a historic performance against the Los Angeles Lakers the previous season. Westbrook have dedicated his game to rapper Nipsey Hussle, who has fatally shooted just two days before(31/3/2019).

The, then, Oklahoma City Thunder superstar finished the game with 20 points, 21 assists and 20 rebounds becoming just the second 20-20-20 player in the history of the NBA.

The first player to do something like that was Wilt Chamberlain, who had 22 points, 25 rebounds and 21 assists in Feb.2 1968. In the postgame session, the Westbrook said that his perfomance was not for him.

“That wasn’t for me,” Westbrook said. “That was for my bro — that was for Nipsey. Twenty plus twenty plus twenty.”

Ermias Joseph Asghedom, known professionally as Nipsey Hussle, was an American rapper, activist, and entrepreneur being an important figure in the West Coast hip-hop scene.
