“Curly” Neal, who passed away at age 77 today, was among the players who taught Isiah Tomas how to dribble, as the NBA Hall of Famer admitted.

In particular, Thomas claimed on a post on his twitter account that Neal was one of the first athletes, who valued dribbling and distance shooting.

Neal was known for his fantastic ballhandling skills and his “singnature” smile that ‘followed” him through the 6,000 games he played with the Harlem Globetrotters.
