Ahead of game four in the LKL Finals, Lietuvos Rytas have today announced that centre Patrick O’Bryant has been released from his contract.

Former Golden State Warriors player O’Bryant averaged four points and two rebounds this season with the Vilnius side, currently trailing 3-0 to rivals Zalgiris Kaunas in the Lithuanian league finals.

The big man played six games in the VTB League also, where he averaged five points and three rebounds. His work ethic has been called into question as of late, which was the main rumour behind his sudden departure.

O’Bryant has played for the Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors during his playing career, before moving to Europe.
