In case that a guard is injured for Anadolu Efes’ run into the Euroleague and to the Turkish Basketball League Championship; Anadolu Efes GM Engin Ozerhun called Justin Gray (Higher Vision Sports) and requested he sign to the club’s second division club Pertevniyal-Istanbul which practices and plays in the same arena as Efes.
Justin Gray who was injured for most of the 2011-12 season got back on his feet and signed earlier this season with French Pro A club Poitiers Basket before asking for his release. Gray averaged 9 points and 3 assist in 17 games.
Gray a graduate of Wake Forest University who played alongside Chris Paul has played at clubs such as BC Donetsk and PGE Turow and even in China with Guangzhou where he averaged 24 points per game with 5 rebounds and 4 assist.
