A clutch performance from Jordan Farmar gave Anadolu Efes a 91-86 win over Alba Berlin to eliminate the German side from reaching the Euroleague quarter-finals.

The former Los Angeles Laker hit seven points in just under two minutes to seal the win for the Istanbul side and virtually seal their spot in the last eight.

“We knew that Alba won’t give us an easy shot here and it really was a tough game; they played very well,” Farmar, who led with 23 points said afterwards.

“The bigger is this win for us, to get back on track and to continue to play positive basketball. Alba did a good job knocking down shots, but down the stretch we got the chance to defend them and get the rebounds.”

Dashawn Wood led Alba Berlin with 24 points, but 1-9, the German side officially out of the Top 16.

Brose Baskets didn’t fare much better against CSKA Moscow as the Russians comfortably won 78-58.

17 points each from Vladimir Micov and Nenad Krstic was enough for CSKA to eliminate Bamberg, who slump to 0-10 in the Top 16. CSKA go to 7-3.

“It’s obviously an important win, just like every win on the road. Also, it’s not easy to beat a tough team like Bamberg four times in one season,” CSKA coach Ettore Messina said.
