The Golden State Warriors rank third in NBA franchise valuation (4.3 millions). According to Forbes, only the Lakers and the Knicks are valued more in the list at 4.6 and 4.4 millions, respectively.

The Warriors’ owner Joe Lacob said Forbes understates Golden State’s estimated revenue in contrast to Los Angeles and New York.

“Forbes is more of a general indicator. Its revenue estimates are understated for Golden State,” Lacob said per Bill Shea of the Athletic. “We have much more revenue than the Knicks and Lakers.”

Forbes estimated that Warriors generated $440 million in revenue for the 2018-19 season versus $472 million for the Knicks and $434 million for the Lakers.
