According to the club’s announcement, Teo Papaloukas will participate in series of trial practices with CSKA Moscow.

The famous Greek free agent point guard will arrive to Moscow tomorrow. He will join the team’s practices immediately.

Let us remind that Papaloukas played for CSKA from 2002 to 2008. He has become a European star here winning two Euroleague titles (2006, 2008), being named Euroleague Final Four MVP (2006) and Euroleague season MVP (2007). After leaving the army men Papaloukas played for Olympiakos and Maccabi.

Ettore Messina, CSKA head coach:

We as a club assume that even a team which has won 9 games of 10 in the first phase of Euroleague has margin to improve. We think that Papaloukas has qualities as a leader and a player to help our team even in limited minutes on the floor. We have agreed that we will work together for some days to understand if we are on the same page and if it is really the situation we envision. If that’s the case as I hope we will make sure that we will find for him the spot on the roster so that he can help and support the team.
