The Phoenix Suns attempted to trade for Aaron Gordon before the February 6 trade deadline, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Gordon was linked with several teams prior to the deadline, yet he remained with the Orlando Magic eventually. Charania notes that Gordon will likely generate more interest this coming summer.
In 55 games this season, Gordon is averaging 14.4 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists. The versatile forward is currently in the second year of a four-year, $80 million contract extension he signed with Orlando in 2018.
The Magic are eighth in the Eastern Conference standings with a 27-35 record.
