Philadelphia 76ers all-star Joel Embiid is one of the most recognized basketball players in North America, standing at 7’2 and always loving to be the centre of attention.

So when a contestant on the popular American game show Jeopardy was asked what Joel Embiid’s nickname was, you could have bet on the man to say “The Process”.

However, that was not the case. And since this show aired, the video has gone viral and the contestant has become an internet sensation, at Joel Embiid’s expense.

Here is the video of what he did below

Since the game show ended, the “Do a 180” nickname has gone viral with Embiid himself – who has 1.7 million followers – putting it as his own Twitter handle.

He also posted a video parody of a player doing a 180 turn under the basket, which has amassed more than 2.2 million views on Twitter alone.

Despite the blunder, the Sixers are currently in a good position heading to the post-season, currently in the sixth seed. If you feel confident that they will make the playoffs, log on on to Pennsylvania sportsbook to find competitive sporting bets.

Embiid wasn’t in the line up for the Sixers last game, but they maintained their fight for home court in the NBA Playoffs this season as they secured a vital 125-108 win over the Sacramento Kings in the early hours of Friday morning.

The Sixers were led 28 points and 14 rebounds from evergreen Tobias Harris, who played for Team USA for the FIBA World Cup in China last summer.

Shake Milton added 20 points in the win as the Sixers shot 45% from the three-point land to gain an important win as the post-season looms ever closer.

Popular point guard De’Aaron Fox logged 23 points to lead the Kings, who are outside of the Playoff places out in the Western Conference and even though in decent form, look unlikely to secure a spot in the elite eight.

The night though was overshadowed by the return of Golden State Warriors star and expert three-point marksman Stephen Curry, who scored 23 points in his side’s loss to the Toronto Raptors in the first of last season’s NBA Finals rematches.

In a battle of the two powerhouse teams out in the Western Conference, Los Angeles Clippers lost out to the Houston Rockets down in Texas.

Denver Nuggets kept the pressure going on the two Los Angeles teams at the top of the West with a narrow 114-112 win over the Charlotte Hornets, as Jamal Murray’s jumper sealed the win in North Carolina.

The Nuggets are certainly not in jeopardy of losing their space in the post-season this campaign.
