According to reliable TalkBasket sources, CSKA Moscow is eyeing Dionte Christmas who was recently cut from Boston Celtics.

Christmas was impressive in Greek A1 during last season, being the top scorer of the league totalling 484 points, averaging more than 18.5 points over 26 games, including play-offs.

After working out in Boston Celtics’ summer league he earned a contract, but he was released just before the season started.

The American guard was targeted by both Olympiacos and Panathinaikos during the off-season while he was rumoured for Olympiacos lately, especially after the departure of Joey Dorsey. Montepaschi Siena also showed interest, but they can not compete with CSKA Moscow in financial terms.

His projected arrival to Moscow could mean a short-lived stint for Drew Nicholas, who is in poor shape.
