Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey was on First Things First to discuss the moves he made before the trade deadline.
Morey explained the logic behind the Clint Capela trade, which sent him to the Atlanta Hawks. According to him, the main goal of the trade was to get Robert Covington.
“The biggest reason for the Capela trade was to get Covington. Not only b/c of how good he is, but how much he helps everyone on the team, but in particular Russell Westbrook. The driving lanes for him are super important. It unlocks the best Russell.”
