The newly established NBA franchise of Brooklyn Nets have launched a Russian version of their official website, making them the first NBA team to target the word wide Russiophone audience.

Although New Jersey Nets had some articles translated into Russian during the last season, the new website has been completely translated into Russian, allowing Russians to get direct updates from the team.

The average Russian fan can now read everything about the Brooklyn Nets in Russian, including the team roster, news and even directions on how to find their seat at the arena.

Additionally to that the franchise Russian owner Mikahil Prokhorov has arranged for MarShon Brooks to attend the “Games Without Borders” event in Moscow next week to further promote his team in his native Russia. However the move is not solely aimed at Russia based audience, as there are approximately 100.000 Russians residing in the Brooklyn area who could be a massive potential addition to the team’s fanbase.
