As the Eurobasket Qualifiers move to the fifth round tonight, let’s re-cap round four.

Group A

Montenegro remain unbeaten after cruising to an 85-67 win over Iceland to move to 4-0 in Group A. Second place Serbia are hot on the trail though, following an 88-63 home success over Estonia which moves them to 3-1.

At 4-0, Montenegro travel to 0-4 Slovak Republic tonight knowing that a win inches them closer to Slovenia. Serbia travel to third placed Israel tomorrow night. Estonia, Iceland and the Slovaks make up the group.

Group B

Heavily-fancied Germany moved to 3-0 in Group B after a comfortable 81-66 home success over Sweden. As a result of this loss, Sweden drop to 1-2 and fourth place.

Bulgaria moved up to second following a 94-68 win away to 0-4 Luxembourg. The Bulgarians improve to 2-2 after that win.

Germany will play third place Azerbaijan in Baku today, as the hosts look to keep their solid start going.

Group C

Ukraine are top of Group C as they were the latest team to comfortably defeat Cyprus 68-47, even if the game wasn’t your typical classic encounter.

Ukraine own a 3-1 record and have played a game more than second placed Croatia who are undefeated at 3-0 after an 89-65 home win over Hungary.

Croatia though can go top of the group if they win away in Austria tonight. The other game sees fourth place Hungary hosting bottom team Cyprus.

Group D

Bosnia & Herzegovina secured a narrow 84-79 win in Romania to go top of Group D; they have a 3-1 record but have played a game more than Georgia who beat Latvia 79-76, as they move to 3-0.

Georgia have the chance to go top as they are away in the Netherlands tonight. Latvia, who are third look to move up as they host Romania in Riga.

Group E

Finland comfortably beat Belgium 90-67 in a battle of the two unbeaten teams. Finland stay top while Belgium slip to third.

Poland move to second after they thrashed Albania 105-67 in Tirana.

Finland will stay top tonight, as they host Switzerland. Belgium play Albania while Poland have the night off.

Group F

Italy moved further clear at the top of Group F thanks to an 84-63 road win in Belarus. This win puts them at 4-0 and three points clear of Turkey and Czech Republic who face each other tonight in Chomutov (CZE).

Turkey are currently second as they defeated Portugal 74-62. Both Belarus and Portugal are now 0-3 but they face each other tonight in Fafe.
