Anthony Davis is not only a dominant force on the offensive end. He is also huge presence in defense. Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel spoke about AD’s defense after the win over the Memphis Grizzlies.
The 26-year-old All-Star had an impressive 7 blocks in the game. Afterwards Vogel described Davis’ performance as ‘another defensive-player-of-the-year-type of night’, per Ryan Ward of ClutchPoints:
“Another Defensive-Player-of-the-Year-type of night for Anthony,” Frank Vogel said of Davis. “He’s the best defender in the league. Simplest way to put it.”
The Lakers secured 117-105 win behind 28 points, 13 rebounds and 7 blocks by Davis. This season AD is averaging 26.7 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.5 blocks per game.
