Anadolu Efes officially announced their acquisition of Jordan Farmar.

Farmar, who was drafted by Los Angeles Lakers in 2006, spent the last season in New Jersey Nets. He was one of the pieces in the Joe Johnson trade which were sent to Atlanta Hawks.

The final year of Farmar’s contract was bought out by the Hawks today, and as a free agent he signed with Anadolu Efes, Istanbul.

The 25-year-old point guard had played for Maccabi during the NBA lockout, averaging 14.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4 assist per game.

Farmar shot 44 percent behind the arc last season.
