Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard suffered a groin injury against the Memphis Grizzlies and will not participate in the All-Star weekend.
After the game, head coach Terry Stotts said Lillard will undergo an MRI on Feb. 13.
When confirming he would miss the All-Star festivities, Lillard also said “somebody who should’ve been there that didn’t make it … hopefully Devin Booker, somebody like that will get the spot.”
Lillard was selected to play on Team LeBron after he was also slated to participate in the three-point contest on Feb. 15.
An announcement from the NBA should come soon as to who will replace Lilllard in both the All-Star game and three-point contest.
