The Atlanta Hawks have waived big man Nene after they acquired him from the Houston Rockets in the massive four-team trade.
Nene would be eligible to sign with any team except the Rockets once he clears waivers and reaches free agency.
The 37-year-old has not appeared in a game this season with a hip injury after playing only 42 games last season for the Rockets.
In his career, Nene is averaging 11.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per game in 17 seasons.
