Ja Morant returned to his alma mater last night, where the Murray State Racers retired his No.12 jersey.

The rookie of the year candidate saw his jersey hung up in the rafters, after just 40 games in the NBA.

After the ceremony, Morant addressed the media, claiming that it’s almost surreal to have people wearing his jersey.

The Memphis Grizzlies’ guard played for just two seasons for the Racers, leading the team to back-to-back NCAA tournament appearances.

He averaged 24 points, 10 assists and almost 6 rebounds as a sophomore, being named a consensus All-American in 2019 before being selected No. 2 overall by the Grizzlies.
