Toronto Raptors guard Norman Powell is out indefinitely with a fractured fourth metacarpal in his left hand.

Powell injured his non-shooting hand in the team’s win against the Detroit Pistons on Jan. 31.

The 26-year-old is averaging 15.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game, while shooting 49.8 percent from the field, all career-highs.

Powell has dealt with injuries this season, as he missed 11 games in December and January with a shoulder injury.

In his absence, bench guards, like Patrick McCaw and Terence Davis, will have an increased opportunity, while Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet will carry the load in the backcourt.
