Szolnoki Olaj KK will host the 2012 EuroChallenge Final Four in Debrecen, Hungary FIBA Europe has announced.

The tournament will run from April 27th-29th at the state-of-the-art Fonix Hall, which seats 8,500.

“It is only the second time that Hungary will host the Finals of a men’s European club competition, after Budapest in 1986,” said FIBA Europe President Olafur Rafnsson.

Mr. Rafnsson continued: “I am confident that the EuroChallenge Final Four will be a testament to the constant progress of Hungarian basketball and an event all our guests will enjoy enormously.”

Szolnoki Olaj KK are bidding to become the first Hungarian club to win the EuroChallenge, but will have to get past the favourites Besiktas of Turkey to do so. The other semi-final will feature Triumph Lyubertsy of Russia and Elan Chalon of France.
